Filming notice (18 to 21 May): A feature film will be filmed on Cockatoo Island between Monday 18 May and Thursday 21 May up until midnight. During this time, we anticipate there will be audible noise impacts in surrounding areas into the late evening. Due to the scale of the scene, it may sound like a fireworks display. The scene also involves a flare being shot into the sky. Safety protocols have been put in place and have positioned the filming locations to help minimise noise impacts.
Access to Industrial Precinct and Sutherland Dock (11 to 25 May): Due to a feature film being filmed on Cockatoo Island, there will be limited access to the Industrial Precinct and Sutherland Dock from Monday 11 May to Monday 25 May. Furthermore, there will be no access to Camber Wharf, Sutherland Dock and the Dog Leg Tunnel when filming is in progress in evening between Monday 18 to Thursday 21 May. Our holiday accommodation, cafes and other areas of the island will remain open to visitors during this period. We apologise for any inconvenience.
